Psychological Counseling We all think that we are coping with a situation usually until things reach a crisis. Many victims of violence have nowhere to turn when crises arise. The Royia Grizzell Foundation for Victims of Violence considers the emotional and psychological scars to be as important to deal with as the physical scars. A large part of the foundation involves self-esteem building and teaching particularly domestic violence victims to learn new behaviors that will help to rid many of the co-dependent actions which led to the crisis. The Foundation has a crisis management, convalescent, and future life skill building program which is designed to prevent future occurrences.
