Often victims of violence, especially domestic violence, are trapped in a cycle of non-recognition. Many domestic violence victims feel helpless and do not realize that there are many agencies available to help them escape this despicable form of violence. Through public seminars and educational curricula designed for children, teenagers, and college students, the ongoing challenge of adopting a zero tolerance policy for domestic violence may one day occur.

The education of the general public that victims of violence have avenues that can be explored for restorative surgery and self-esteem building is vital to the Foundation. Educating law enforcement officials and physicians of the availability of these services to victims of violence is ongoing. Educating the medical profession, particularly those involved in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, on current wound healing, wound care, and laser techniques will increase awareness for the betterment of scar therapy and yield tremendous advantages for future victims.

The Foundation has an active educational program and continues to strive to expand its informational base.
