Research and Development
The Royia Grizzell Foundation for Victims of Violence has an active limb of research into contemporary wound healing and wound care techniques. The exciting areas of human growth factor and injectable fibroblasts both designed to aid the body's production of tissue producing molecules have been extensively studied by Dr. Chernoff over the past several years. Growth factor has been shown to also play a tremendous role in non-ablative laser technology which has also been extensively investigated and developed within Dr. Chernoff's research facilities.

The ongoing research into topical scar therapies has also been advanced dramatically. The ability of absorbable serums to deliver to scar tissue nutrients and substances that can help rebuild tissue and dissolve unwanted scar tissue is growing. This technology has helped many patients such as Royia Grizzell to heal wounds which otherwise might not have been capable of healing. The Royia Grizzell Foundation for Victims of Violence is committed to research and dedicated to the betterment of non-invasive procedures for violence victims so as to minimize any perceived trauma through minimizing required surgical procedures. The research laboratories of the Foundation work closely with the major skin care laser and instrument companies to improve technology for the betterment of existing techniques.
