Aesthetic, Reconstructive and Laser Therapy
The Chernoff Plastic Surgery Laser and Wellness Center has locations in Indianapolis, Indiana and Santa Rosa, California. This bicoastal presence allows for a large referral base in the care of victims of violence. The most current aesthetic and reconstructive surgical procedures are peliormed in state-of-the-art facilities which are linked to the ongoing research facilities. With the benefits of ongoing wound care research, new clinical technologies designed to improve healing rates and minimize scars are being utilized. Overnight stay facilities are important for the ongoing nurturing of the patient such that family members are welcome to stay during the postoperative course. As many victims require numerous reconstructive procedures necessitating multiple visits, the importance of a warm inviting environment has been acknowledged by many of the recipients of our care. Dr. Chernoff has in both facilities what could be considered among the largest laser facilities in the country. Meticulous scar therapy involves a multi-wavelength laser approach to insure optimal scar healing and improvement and softening. The combination of exfoliative lasers, non-ablative collagen remodeling systems, and vascular systems have been shown to aid the more rapid recovery of facial and body scars. Dr. Chernoff's research in laser technology is ongoing and the facilities are frequently utilized by the FDA and laser companies for alpha and beta studies. The development of new procedures designed to benefit violence victims is ongoing and very exciting. |
